Peak Oilfield Services is committed to complying with all applicable OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations, as well as all Federal, State and Local laws. This is outlined in our HS&E policies and procedures.
Peak Oilfield Services monitors our safety culture through the use of Incident Reporting, Trend Analysis, Near Miss reporting, Safety observations and training, just to list a few. This data is all kept up to date and is stored electronically using an advanced HSE software system.
Peak management routinely performs field safety observations and ensures HSE compliance is being followed and adhered to on the worksites. The observation is captured live on their phone and then the data is sent instantly via e- mail for record retention and further actions or review, if necessary. This is executed using a mobile phone app designed specifically for Peak Oilfield Services employees to use in field observations.
All Peak employees are required to take an active part in the Job Hazard Assessments or JHAs, before any job task is performed. This requires the employees to take an extra moment to look at the job, and take all necessary steps to mitigate any hazardous work conditions. When all hazards are mitigated or reduced to an acceptable level, the work may commence. If the hazards cannot be removed, the job will not continue until it is safe to do so.
All Peak employees are empowered with Stop Work Authority. This allows any employee, regardless of rank or job function to shut down a job if they see an unsafe working condition or violation. This employee will be able to do so without concern of being reprimanded or disciplined for calling the time out.
Peak Field Safety and DOT Coordinators are instrumental in furthering our safety culture through workplace safety discussions, tool box talks, field visits and any other safety related support function that may be necessary.
Employees are now issued high impact resistant gloves as part of their daily personal protective equipment. These gloves are designed to reduce hand injuries up to 70% if involved in an impact situation.
All Peak employees must pass a new hire drug screen, and all employees are subject to monthly random drug testing. Peak is a zero tolerance work place.
